About
Following 20 premieres of the year's best ski movies, an esteemed panel of judges will honor the cream of the crop by selecting nominees and winners for 18 awards over three categories (Pro, Open & AM, Web) that will be handed out on the final night of IF3 by a star-studded cast of presenters from the world of skiing.
The Newschoolers Awards are brought to you by Newschoolers.com, freeskiing's biggest online community...and it's not your typical awards show. With a riled up capacity crowd, unpredictable antics and nostalgic moments that are talked about for years after the fact, the 4th annual Newschoolers Awards, much like IF3 as a whole, is sure to be bigger and better than ever this year. For the third year in a row, Moment Skis is proud to produce the IF3 Palms to be presented at the Newschoolers Awards. These ski trophies are themed after popular lingo on Newschoolers and were designed by JP Fortier and Guillaume Perusse from Cresus Design, who put their creative minds to good use to produce the 2010 IF3 branding, which will be seen throughout all IF3 activities.
The Newschoolers Awards will also pay special tribute to Eric Simard, a talented ski filmmaker from Quebec who passed away this winter, by renaming the Best Am Cinematography Award the Eric Simard Award. Don't miss the finale of the International Freeskiing Film Festival…because anything can and will happen.

ALL Star
Jarred Haynes, better known as All Star, is an American rapper, singer, poet, and businessman. In the spring of 2009 Haynes found his niche within the freeskiing industry when Salomon Freeski TV released an episode featuring an original skiing-themed track he recorded for them. After attending the last year's IF3, he decided to translate the similarities he recognized between the music and freeskiing industries into a mix tape focused entirely on skiing called "The Urban Segment." Following its success he then released his first official album, "Genre", and then went on to do songs for several other ski industry athletes and companies including Nick Martini, South American Snow Sessions and others, and recently released a second skiing-themed mix tape, "The Urban Segment Part 2". Haynes also owns his own entertainment company, White Light Entertainment, and is preparing to release his newest album "White Noise" after the Newschoolers Awards on the final night of IF3.
