Deadlines

Work in progress (for pre-selection): AUGUST 15th 2010
Final movies (for selected producers): AUGUST 30th 2010 (for both discs)

Like the previous year the AM category will undergo an initial screening. A first selection will be initiated with WORK IN PROGRESS movies. You will be informed at this moment if your movie has been chosen to compete in the IF3 AM category.

For 2010, IF3 is changing up the formula. Judges will screen films outside the main venue. The object is to speed up the process and have results earlier than 5 minutes before the awards start. In order to so this we need producers to submit 2 discs this year.

Also, IF3 will give the opportunity to a select few AM submissions to move up to the pro category. if your movie has what it takes to compete with the big boys, we'll bump you to the higher level.

If you only send in one version/disc your film will not be judged. The deadline is set to be respected as we ask that all producers abide by it. It’s very important that you send both of your discs in order to participate in the judged competition. So please send both versions by August 30th 2010...

Make sure your discs are clearly marked with the name of your company, title of film and
running time.

Format: DVD-player ready discs
Size: Standard definition
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you footage is in a 1.78 (16x9) or other non standard definition ratios other than 1.33 (4:3): Please letterbox footage. Do not burn your dvd’s with footage that does not have the black bars. Especially when using such software as iDVD.
