Cette année, la remise de prix la plus prestigieuse dans le milieu du ski reçoit un petit lifting... 
Anciennement connue sous le nom des Newschoolers Awards, elle subit quelques modifications et devient aujourd’hui  ‘’Le Gala des Palmes IF3”. Plus de 40 producteurs venant des quatre coins de la planète viennent présenter leurs films en compétition pour tenter de repartir avec l’un des nombreux prix tant convoités, Les Palmes IF3.

Après le succès indiscutable de la première édition du IF3 Europe, nous avons décidé de regrouper
les deux remises de prix sous un seul et même comité d'évaluation. Ce nouveau système que nous mettons en place donnera plus de crédibilité  et de cohérence  aux prix remis d’un côté et de l’autre de l’Atlantique.
Un panel de juges issus de plusieurs professions au sein de l’industrie du ski sélectionnera les gagnants
des Palmes des deux évènements lors d’une séance privée de visionnement à l'hôtel Opus de Montréal.
Ce nouveau concept  verra la cérémonie des Palmes IF3  se dérouler  à la fois à  Montréal et à  Annecy
en France.

Autre nouveauté cette année, la cérémonie des Palmes IF3 se déroulera au cinéma Impérial directement après la diffusion du dernier film du samedi.

Prenez place ! L’IF3 n’est pas seulement fier de vous présenter les nouveaux films de l’année, mais également de récompenser le travail de tous les acteurs de l’industrie. Des caméramans, aux graphistes,
en passant par les skieurs eux-mêmes ainsi que chaque personne impliquée de près ou de loin dans la réalisation de films, nous savons à  quel point l’effort investit chaque année mérite d’être reconnu.

Maintenant place à la fête et célébrons ensemble les personnes qui ont travaillé si fort afin de réaliser
et de vous présenter les meilleurs films de ski de l’année.

The most prestigious award ceremony in ski film-making just got a fresh, new face-lift!

In 2011 the ceremony, previously known as the Newschoolers Awards has evolved into The IF3 Palms Awards. Over 40 film producers throughout the world are competing for the various coveted prizes;
The IF3 Palms.

Following the undisputed success of the first IF3 Europe edition, we decided to group both awards ceremonies under one cohesive judging committee and distribute the results on two continents at the two IF3 events. One panel of industry judges, will select The Palms winners for both events after the movies are privately screened at the Opus Hotel in Montreal. This is an new concept where one IF3 Palms ceremony is held in Montreal and another is held in Annecy, France.

Also new this year for the Montreal ceremony, the IF3 Palms will take place in the Imperial Cinema right after Saturday’s final movie screening. So stay in your seats!  IF3 is excited not only share these amazing films with you, but  to also recognize all the hard work that is involved in the ski film industry. From filmers, to editors to graphics, to skiers, to marketing teams and to everyone else that is involved in a film we know what a huge undertaking it is to get the films in front of an audience. Let’s now celebrate everyone that is  involved in making the best ski movies year after year!
